Inexcusable. It's bad enough when some people wish injury on opposing players, but someone wishes injury on one of our own?

Come on 24! What in the hell is wrong with you?!

BGWriter wrote:Congrats to Clawson and his coaching staff for being total nimrods tonight.

On the FG before this last one by Ohio, BG turns down a 10 yard penalty that would have pushed their kicker to the limit of his range. I guess there's no confidence in the defense to stop a 3rd and 19, so we just give them an easier kick.

Then on the last BG drive, after the pass is completed that gets BG down to the Ohio 28 or so, the genius coaching staff goes hurry up instead of using a time out there, leaving BG with a first down at the 28 and still one time out if needed to bring on the FG unit.

Some 13 seconds run off the clock (some hurry up, eh?) before there's a false start and BG has to use one of the times out to prevent a 10 second run off.

Then Schilz continues his turnover night and throws the ball to an area where no wide receiver is within 20 yards, and it results in the go ahead points as the half expires for Ohio.

It's bad enough Ohio has all its points off BG turnovers; our coaching staff doesn't need to help them out by making truly bonehead decisions that a high school staff wouldn't make.
Agreed on BOTH of those coaching decisions. I couldn't believe that they didn't take a time out there with so few seconds left and 2 TOs remaining. I definitely would have accepted the penalty too...gotta chance to take them out of FG range...stopping them on 3rd and 19 should be a given.

As for that last pass I have to assume that the guy on Schilz's knee affected that pass quite a bit...that or it was a horrendous miscommunication. Looked to me like the guys in the middle were there to make a play...too bad Schilz's release is slow.

Anybody ever think that there is a reason we haven't seen Hurley at all this season except in mop up duty?

For all you conspirators out there...This is D1 football - you don't play somebody just because he followed you from k-state to BGSU.

If in fact Schillz cannot return, you will see the reason why we haven't seen Hurley all year. If Hurley can come in and move this offense, then I will gladly eat my words

Like Hammb said, he is far from perfect but he is the best we have.

Hunter had one heck of a defensive stop in the end zone there. Long, long FG attempt ... watch for a fake.

Same here...I will eat my words as well if he can actually run the offense, but from what I've seen of him I don't like his skillset one bit. Way too much Freddie Barnes/Anthony Turner in him for my liking. I don't know that I've seen him throw a spiral yet.

What's the Doyt record for a FG? 49 yards is pretty good.

It sucks seeing other MAC teams be good at stuff BG hasn't been good at for quite some time.

Suisham had a 50 yarder at OU in 2004. Not sure he ever had one that long at home.
