Good playcalling and blocking...Schilz has been upright this half and look at that, we scored twice.

Close this out...beat Buffalo...I'll take 6-6 and a sense of frustration over what could have been 8-4
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I don't think Jordan is a draftable prospect, so I'd say he's pretty similar, in that regard. I definitely think Jordan has a better shot to make an NFL roster.

Freddie was never even considered close to an NFL prospect. He wasn't an NFL caliber athlete. Due to his great senior season I remember hearing a LOT of fans bring up his name only to have people who scout promptly shoot it down as nothing more than a college system guy.

Of course the alternative is that I haven't heard a single mention of Kamar as a prospect, so I'm not sure if that's better or worse...

I do know there is one Jordan from the MAC that will get drafted this year...Jordan White from WMU. He's been talked about as a mid rounder all season, and when we went to the WMU game he just looked like a different caliber of athlete than everybody else on the field.

Blown plays can be the most dangerous plays ... a playmaker has the ball and just gets to make a play in space. Missed tackle unfortunately ... that was bad. Between that play and the long kickoff return, that drive looked really really easy.

Yeah Schilz is good for a few boneheaded throws a game, but he's also only a sophomore and has put up a ton of yards and a pretty good TD total so far this year.

I still say the biggest issue on offense is the playcalling and just plain youth at the QB spot. Most sophomores aren't gonna be Omar Jacobs. It'd be one thing if he were making mistakes with no production, but he's put up 2500 yards and 24 TDs on the season. With a team that, from my observations, has had horrendous redzone playcalling for the most part.

If Schilz is still making those boneheaded plays this time next year I'll agree that he's just a bonehead, but right now I think he's still learning. And it's not like he hasn't grown from the player he was last year either.

I like Geiger...he doesn't dance around, he just takes the ball and goes north/south

Thats persuasive, but he is just so frustrating. He has not been helped by the line, dropped passes or shitty play calling. It's not as if he has no good qualities.

3 notes.
1. Why are we moving so fast on offense.
2. Geiger? What about Hopgood and Martin?
3. What about all these upsets in basketball. I don't remember so many early season upsets.

You talk to scouts?
I don't talk to people who are employed as scouts for NFL teams, no.

However, the draft discussion board on the Browns Scout.com site is VERY good with at least 3 people who are paid to scout/write about prospects...mostly for websites. One of them I've talked to and met a few times over the past decade who was a former coach at Akron and wanted to get into pro scouting...instead he now works for ESPN. Another guy there works in an agent's office and talks to NFL scouts pretty routinely.

The guys aren't perhaps as credible as an actual NFL scout would be, but they know their s**t. I would put either of their knowledge above that of the big ESPN talking heads like Kiper/McShay...those guys mostly get stuff fed to them...the guys I talk to study film and form their own opinions. And I can just about guarantee if I asked them about Kamar Jordan they would have an informed opinion of him.

Schmiedembush is the man.

There was no room to run because after he called the fair catch the three guys that were bearing down on him stopped.
