Anyone going to Columbus in Feb?

Post by Bleeding Orange »

I'm going to be there for the Friday night game against the Suckeyes. I hope a lot of you can make it down so we can have some HUGE support for our guys!!! Same goes for Michigan in March. YOU ALL HAD BETTER BE THERE!!!! Ann Arbor (yes, she is a whore) is only 45 minutes away, so no excuses for that one, either!

But first, LET'S ROCK C-BUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, the Schott, the most sterile arena in the history of college athletics!

Wherever the Falcons play, I'm there. And I agree, the Schott almost has me thinking fondly of the old ice arena next to St. John's.
I'm in Columbus tonight. After a great show at Shadowbox, I'm overnighting here, then heading off to sunny California tomorrow. Later this week, I land in Saginaw and head up to Marquette to watch the Falcons gain some ground back on the Wildpussies.

If only because it usually meant good 10-1 wins over OSU...

What weekend is that (lazily not looking at the schedule)... I might have to make the trip back "home"...

If I get my car fixed by then (which means I need to win the lottery...or use my tax returns on it...lol), I'm there. I can go home for the weekend and watch great hockey... :D

As for the old ice arena, I used to ice skate...well attempt to ice skate...in there all the time growing up. I got the worst blister on my foot from skating there...and I've never forgot it. That's probably why I don't like to ice skate...lol

We hope to be there, Saturday for sure, Friday a big "maybe" that depends on BGFan being able to get out of work a bit early!! I hate this cluster scheduling! I wish we played the schmucks at home every year. Sure wish we were back in the days of playing each team twice here and twice there. Of course that might mean getting rid of Duh Mavs and UAF....

GO HOCKEY!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

The Dayton and Columbus alumni chapters are organizing events for Saturday's game. This will be my first alumni event here in Columbus and my first Falcon hockey game in years. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm glad to see that so many people are planning on making the trip. How will you be getting your tickets? If we all get them from the BG ticket office we should be all in the same area. Let me know what you all are doing!

I have connections at OSU. Hopefully, most likely I'm getting them for free. :D

We haven't missed a BG game at tOSU since the Schott opened, don't plan to miss this series either. Don't worry about where you buy your tix...there are always plenty of empty seats, and you can sit just about anywhere you like. There are usually season ticket holders standing outside selling their PSL tix to the club level...that means beer at the concession stands.
