I know that Shilz was nailed pretty well on the interception, right before halftime, but was anyone bothered by him limping off the field while looking back at the long run which resulted in an OU FG?
Maybe it's just me, but if I were the QB, I'd at least make a try at running in the general direction of the PICK, rather than watching my teammates frantically running upfield trying to tackle the guy.
That was at least a 6point turnaround in the score, plus giving OU the momemtom going to the locker room.

Shilz's Reaction
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
Re: Shilz's Reaction
The guy was obviously hurting after getting hit. You want him to try and sprint to catch someone from behind? While 2 guys lay on him? Are you kidding?
I actually thought he showed some toughness last night after taking some shots.

And it's Schilz...
I really don't have problem with our one-legged QB not trying to catch a speedy DB who has a 40 yard headstart on him.

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

But then that means Globe can't complain about this. That's just not fair.Flipper wrote:And it's Schilz...

The center didn't snap the ball fast enough in shotgun sets, and I bet that messed everything else up. Did you want to complain about that, too? I mean, the QB had no shot at even being remotely close to the DB, yet he's supposed to try to catch him when injured? I think Anthon Samuel should have gone back on the field and run up the middle five more times after his injury, just to show that he cared.

No.
I also thought a roughing the passer penalty should have been called on the guy that hit him up high...a second after the ball was gone...while a second defender already had him by the legs.

Re: Shilz's Reaction
He got trucked for sure, no problem with him not trying to run the guy down. I have more of a problem with the earlier fumble.....

Re: Shilz's Reaction
no, he was hit pretty hard. By the time he realized it was pic'd, he was a long ways off.
I did like Roussos sprinting 60-70 yards and making a diving tackle. I also liked his attempt at hiding on that ineligible player downfield penalty later. Both of those were highlight reel material.
