BG at Detroit

Falcons trailing 28-19 at half.

Shots aren't falling (21%). Rebounding isn't there either. There's live video available here:

42-42 with 7:29 left.

Some really interesting no-calls by the officials (on both sides)...

We've got 2 free throws coming up after the media timeout!

Falcons win!!!!!!
57-49!

Way to fight back ladies! Down by as much as 15 and came back to win it!

Steffen finishes 7 of 14 with 23 points!!

Great to get a win when you are out-rebounded 56-31. Only had 5 turnovers though!

GREAT JOB LADIES!!!

Nice come from behind win for the ladies. Not turning the ball over must have had a huge impact as poorly as the team shot the ball and rebounded. Just goes to show that if you don't make mistakes, you usually win.

sitting in the upper deck area at Detroit allowed me to see flight of the ball & overcoats & rain ponchos some of our players were wearing. some shots were short, other got tipped.
As for the rebounding, several times we had two people in one uniform & it looked like bump cars or accidents waiting to happen very physical game......we learned more about ourselves last night
more film, more effort & a win but even Curt called it ugly
BUT I'll take it & so will all concerned with program
PATIENCE please

Good thing women generally don't mind sharing one another's clothes...imagine the men's team having to do that

Then there was the part when the ref call was so bad Curt seemed intent upon earning a T, but Jennifer helped prevent it. The ref DID deserve to have the rules of the game explained.

I have to say that the staff at Detroit made me (hopefully us) feel welcome. It was also nice to be able to sit so close to the team. I wish more of us had made it.

It didn't look like Brandy was having a happy birthday, but the team were able to give her the gift of a win.

As has been said by others in previous posts, Jasmine is one to keep an eye on.
Let's hear it for Jillian and Jess and their consistency at the free throw line.
It ought to be a great year for the Js.

It seems like women's refs are more out of touch than the men's. At UT's game the Albany coach ran on the floor during play and shoved one of her players into position. No call. Sounds like you had some of that sort of reffing as well.

it seems to me that most of the refs don't like BG for some reason! maybe it's just me but more than likely not!
