And ... my pick.

Northern Illinois by 13. NIU is the best team in the MAC, no doubt. They have one of the best offenses in MAC history, right up there with last year's NIU and our 03 and 04 teams. However, Eastern Michigan just held them to 18 points. Ohio's D is probably as good as EMU's (but without defensive mastermind Ron English on the sideline), and their offense is certainly better. Both teams will be ready, but I just feel like NIU is going to pull away after halftime.

Should be a great game! And ... as I've said, BG related prizes to winners of both most correct picks and highest winning percentage. Good luck! And thanks for playing everybody. This is a fun thing to do during the football season and a great way to keep track of all conference games.

NIU makes amends for their loss last year and gets the MAC title they could've had and would've had had it not been for a miracle 4th & 20 tipped pass and catch by Miami on the winning drive.

Since 24 took NIU +14, I'm going with NIU +13. That means I win the title if NIU wins by 13 or less or if OU wins, right?

Both of these two are making their third trip to Detroit for this game since it moved there. If that's not a credit to how well they have done in the MAC in recent years, I don't know what is. That said, they are both 0-2 there, so obviously one of them is going to claim the crown this time. NIU has been dealt heartbreak both times, losing to Akron on a bomb at the end and last year Miami had the crazy play at the end as well. Both games I felt NIU was the much better team, and both times they lost. Ohio on the other hand lost to a better CMU squad in both cases. I think they two are pretty even. I give NIU the edge on offense, but I like Ohio's defense and kickers on special teams. I also give Ohio the coaching edge. For comparison sake against BG, they both played us at BG and NIU whooped us while BG blew chances to beat OU. I'm pulling for NIU but feel like it's going to be OU. We'll find out tomorrow.
