One thing that REALLY stood out to me: Cameron Sinclair's interview: "...we expect to win every game, our record might not show it. We come in to every game expecting better things, as opposed to the last few years, when we'd go in and hoped to win. Now we look forward to winning."
THIS is why I think this team will be succesfull! This is a senior who had had 3 head coaches and a ridiculous numer of assistant coaches, talking about about the changes that HE has seen, and lived through, and the current culture of hockey at BGSU that he is buying into.
GO FALCONS!!
BEAT WESTERN!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second." ~~USCHO Poster "BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got." ~~USCHO Poster, AFTER Tech beat us #NeverGiveUp

I am glad to to hear that the program has more meaning to the players, and the "hope" to win atmosphere has to changed to we're going to expect to win. So now lets win and beat the other cardinal direction in Michigan!... is it the one south, north, or east I don't remember, anyways beat them!!
Helluva comeback late in the 3rd to tie the game!! Bobby Shea rocked the rink tonight!!!

Not sure what is worse....That we get hammered 6-1, or that it is expected. At some point BGSU may want to revisit Atlantic Hockey. Travel would be about the same, but the competition is easier and wed save money by dropping to 12 scholarships.
It's obvious there isn't much improvement again this year.....Bergeron says the right things, and does take responsibility when the team plays bad, but at some point you have to win.

Yes, it only takes 2 years to rebuild a program that has been neglected for 30 years. Congratulations, you sir are a genius.
Yes, patience please. Our win percentage so far this year is around .300. Jerry York's first two seasons weren't much better ... somewhere under .400 combined. Rebuilding will take time, and I'd wager that the competition is much tougher now than it was 30 years ago.
Drago wrote:I certainly don't appreciate being called a genius for stating facts. The hockey program has been rebuilding every year since about 1998.
The hockey program (Ice Arena included) has been under-funded since around 1986, if not before that. Bring Back the Glory is only 3 years in. It's going to take time to rebuild this program.
