Schollies available this year

Post by Siborg »

I would guess we have no more than 20 scholarships available this year. I'm not certain how many walk-ons earned schollies the previous year or two. I know Truss and Joplin have but other than that, I'm not sure. Perhaps Schmeidebusch, Hager, Pohlman, Stein, Burkhardt, Stokes or Stokes.........etc.... could have earned a schollie.

Assuming noone but Joplin and Truss have done so, we have 20 available for 2012.

Hosley from last year's class figures in there too...he got hurt in the offseason so they held him out a year...
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Thanks, I wondered what happened to Hosley. So that puts it at a possible 19 for this year.

I also corrected Demark Jenkins. I though he had a year left but I believe he graduated so that might bring us back to 20.

This is a great list. Is the order at the positions based upon anything? I see you have Heuttel and Hurley as starters.

Heuttel and Hurley, no real good reason. I switch them up occasionally. Apparently I was irritated at Schilz at the time. There was a time when a few old friends and I would guess at the two-deep for the opening game of a few teams. A friendly wager would always keep our interest. I still do it for BG.
