The first thing I would like is that we have the NCAA allowable max in scholarships, as Buffalo and BG are the only two MAC schools that are not fully funded in this area. They were cut a year or two ago from the max and now have only about 2/3 of what the other MAC schools have, which means about 6-8 players in baseball!
You are the one that ask the question, "What facility isn't top notch for a MAC facility?", so I answered you and now you are changing tactics.

What would you consider to be the top notch football and basketball facilities in the MAC?factman wrote:The first thing I would like is that we have the NCAA allowable max in scholarships, as Buffalo and BG are the only two MAC schools that are not fully funded in this area. I know for a fact Akron is not a full scholarship baseball program.factman wrote:The first thing I would like is that we have the NCAA allowable max in scholarships, as Buffalo and BG are the only two MAC schools that are not fully funded in this area. Factman, literally almost any post of yours circles back on how the athletic program screws someone somehow. If football cut 5 scholarships to give to women's track you would be complaining about needing them to compete.
If money for stadium upgrades for the Doyt was given to the softball team for locker room improvements you would complain that we need a Doyt statue to enhance gameday experience.
If Greg Christopher hand delivered free sideline passes and luxury box tickets to the people you know who don't attend football games because of him, you would complain about lost revenue.
This isn't Ohio State or Florida, we don't get to use millions from BCS money to upgrade gymnastics facilities, softball concessions, etc.
It's the MAC, no school has beautiful everything. Look at Miami, you tout their new baseball, softball stadiums, and even hockey. Ever been to a game Millett hall? The place is an absolute dump.
Re: Doyt Perry Statue
Been there lots of times! I didn't like it when it was new!
Again.......you tried to make the point that our facilities were as good as any other MAC school, and that simply isn't true.
Also......Akron is at the NCAA max in baseball scholarships....better check your sources.
