Might as well sell them! I seriously can't believe that number and once again am upset with our student body...BGorDeath wrote:If those tickets are not gone by today, they should announce that they are now available to be sold to the public. If the students don't want to go, screw them. Sell them.

Not that I am defending the student body here, but lets look at the marketing from the athletic department. If I were them I would be in the Union, Olscamp, and anywhere else on campus where there are students passing the tickets out. A small Ad in the BGNews is not going to move all of those tickets. I am more disapointed with the athletic marketing department more this year than any other year I have been here. Even when the football team went 2-9 there were people from the department out trying to get anyone they could to the stadium. That, more than the turn out of the student body, is the most pathetic thing here

I could see a few student tickets being around, but 800? Very sad, lets hope the last-minute types pick them up.

There has been tables set up in some dorm lobbies and in the Union with signs that say BGSU Men's Basketball and they were passing out tickets. Of course the people sitting behind the tables weren't greeting anyone or saying anything, just letting people walk by. Are they not allowed to confront students?

How much should the marketing department have to do? My gawd, if you are a student at BG and read the school newspaper (which I am sure the majority do), you know that the basketball team is doing pretty well this year. You also know that Turdledo is BG's main rival. At some point, the student body needs to take it upon themselves to seek out something like tickets to a huge basketball game without it having to be marketed directly to them. How about some school spirit? Take some initiative. Finally in 04 wrote:Not that I am defending the student body here, but lets look at the marketing from the athletic department. This is not a hard question. As much as it takes to get 1400 tickets passed out. That doesn't take a degree from Yale to figure out. It is sometimes hard to get excited about an event that the department putting it on does not seem excited themselves about. We can, and must do better! How much should the marketing department have to do?
