TOLEDO LOSES TO WESTERN MICHIGAN!!

Wow....some surprises tonight in the MAC West. Toledo loses on the road to Western, and Ball State beats Eastern in Muncie! BOTH home teams win by 3 points. Gonna be an interesting MAC season!!

Your title is right...Toledo lost at Western Michigan, not Central. Central Michigan went on the road to win at Northern Illinois. Eastern Michigan lost at Ball State.

So, in the East, only 1 team won on the road on opening night, with the same thing happening in the West.

Wow. You're right, this is going to be an interesting MAC season; the only one of these results I would have predicted was CMU over NIU. This is probably the most competitive the MAC has been in years. At least it will keep things interesting!

CMU visits Toledo on Sunday...last night the Chips started 3 freshmen and 2 sophomores. They have last year's freshman of the year, DiGuilio, coming off the bench. Also, I noticed that Brandie Baker is not getting as much playing time. I know that their freshman class was very highly touted...will be interested to see how they do coming into Savage Arena.
