Just unbelievable...no way we should have lost this game. Started turning the ball over down the stretch and handed the game to Akron. What is it about this team that we cannot beat them at home??????

We would have been better off if Crawford was MIA tonight.

We didn't get screwed at the end but with about three minutes left there were a few non call traveling on the Zips. One more made free throw or one less Crawford turnover and we win.

In addition, Akron was only 50% at the FT line. Just sickening....

We'll be heading over to Kent State Sat night as it doesn't get any easier.

You did not want to see it. Probable charge at the end but they are not going to call it. Only shooting 9 total free throws for the entire game and our lead pg with 9turnovers is not going to cut it.
It was not a charge, if anything you would a been a blocking calls because his foot was in the restricted area. Just bad defense. We didn't protect the lane. The same thing happened to UT last night.

I only saw it once so I trust your judgment.

WE lost this game, not the refs. We led the entire damn game with the exception of the final :30 or so. We led by 10 with under 8:00 to go at 49-39 then started crumbling.

Yep...that's what really pisses me off. We had this game under control and fell apart. Turnovers down the stretch allowed the Zips to get back in the game. :vom:

Stubborn coaching......after Crawford had two straight TO's he should have been pulled, but instead we leave him in for two more, I believe, which was four straight times down the floor he turned it over.......but, it might have been only three. Seemed like 23, especially at that time of the game. I thought Clarke really grew up tonight and should be the starter, if for no other reason he is at least equal and two years younger. Crawford might be good off the bench as a change of pace but he has to learn to not try and do toooooooooooo much. Very frustrating!

I didn't think our defense on their last out of bounds play was very well thought out either.

Geez...I hope they're more resilient than that. Lot of games left to play

And you wonder WHY I bash Crawford, Globe!? C'mon, remember when you were saying he can score and do all these great things!?

Ugh, this game was just brutal to watch him play. He was absolutely THE reason we lost. He almost single-handedly blew our 10 point lead in about 2 minutes.

Like I said, the reason we are mediocre is our guard play is too damn inconsistent. Tonight Clarke played pretty well, Dee Brown was lackluster at best, and Crawford was fu**ing terrible. How that guy can go from brilliant in the 2nd half Saturday to looking like he did tonight I'll never know, but it's always been that way. He shows flashes but he just doesn't put complete games together. I REALLY hope Clarke can start taking his minutes from him.

I like Crawford off the bench as a change of pace guy, but he is not a guy you should be counting on to run your offense. He's a poor shooter and has a horrid assist:turnover ratio for a starting PG. He's good at getting to the basket, but even there's he's limited by his size. His best asset to the team is his energy and quickness, which I still think is best coming off the bench playing as the 3rd guard.

It was as if he read our discussion and agreed with you so he wanted to prove it to me.
