Falcons- Bobcats

Post by BGSUE »

Falcons take on the Bobcats 7pm on Thursday....only tilt in MAC that night.

Who's coming to add to the loud crowd requested?

We want all the positive voices & volume we can get

Students are back but "townies"/ community need to fill the seats

Let's encourage our team to play their game.....things will take care of themselves

no scouting report from me just know that "Thor" is in the house so everyone must fill their role

Defense+ "first makes"+ made/ foul shots+ good shots+ rebounds+ teamwork= victory a few "around the worlds" some luck and a lot of HARD WORK before & during the game half time too

GO!!!!!! BG!!!!!! BG ___ Roll Along!

Ohio just came off a loss to a 1 win Kent team. So these kitties will have their claws out looking to pounce early and often. My family and I will be there cheering on another victory.

Go Falcons!!

Could a Falcon beat a Bobcat in a fight? That's be a tough one...

Another solid win for the Falcons. They controlled the glass and were making their shots from everywhere. A 3-0 start at home is exactly how you want to start the MAC season.

Yeah...nobody cares about your blog

Re tonight's game...good win. Megan Thorburn on the sidelines for OU...I really appreciated her game here. She wasn't a primary option on offense with Mann, Horne and Liz up front, but she did a lot of the little things well and if you forgot about her, she'd make you pay.

Way to go BG!! Gotta win your home conference games. Chrissy led the way with 16 and Alexis had another double double with 15 pts and 11 boards. 13-3, 3-0 MAC.

BTW, got a nice return email from Ali Mann over at Colgate the other day. My bud Mark lives in that area and ran into her at a Colgate hockey game. She's doing well and it was very cool to get the email. That Sweet 16 team was bad azz....

Up next, the Falcons travel to Buffalo for a Sunday game. Together we attack!!

I really liked what I saw this game. Ohio executed a great defensive plan and was very effective taking away BG's three point shot. But in return, BG kept finding ways to execute plays in the paint, and made some really from all over the post. I haven't really seen that in BG this year so far - a solid determination to get points in the paint and drive to the basket hard. Also, they did a good job finding open players when OU would double team, leading to some nifty passes and open buckets (that no-look bounce pass in the first pass Rogers to wide-open Havel under the bucket, was EXCELLENT!)

Really happy to see the Falcons do some great work and grind out a win tonight! Go BG!

I'm glad BG won! Just would like to know where and who these "numerous fan complaints" came from! But i'll probably never find out but just for the record I have never swore at any officials, opposing teams, players or coaches..I know better than that! I haven't done anything different than I did years before at Anderson Arena! But oh well I guess! What can you do?! I would like to extend the olive branch to everybody on here. There's no need for Falcon fans to argue over anything really. I guess I get frustated when people just sit on their butts for the entire game and don't make a sound or when officials make really really bad calls. And do people really need to correct my grammar?

Dustin..we're good...you're right, people should be more enthusiastic but you can't force them. Be positive..cheer for your team and not against anyone and try leading by example.

In the recent past, we really struggled when the perimeter shots weren't falling...this year, we have an inside presence to lean on when we shoot 20% for a half like on Satrurday...we could be setting up for a nice run into March... :)

I just don't get why I was told not to yell at the refs! I have never swore at them ever! I like to let them know they screwed up but that's as far as it goes. I was afraid to even voice my opinion about the refs so pretty much remained quite during the game cause , live and breath BG basket ball!

I was reading the write up of the game in the Sentinel Tribune. As much as Dustin probably disliked staying calm during the game one fan appeared to appreciate it. Look at the bottom of the story at the comment. Sounds like one fan was getting fed up. Good for Dustin.

Not referring to Dustin- writer clearly specifies that the offender was a young "adult". ;-)

You don't have them in an arena...the University has the right to set guidelines for behavoir and to enforce them. They have a right to search you as you enter, they have a right to eject yo w/o a refund, they have a right to tell you you sit down and stop botheirng people. It's thier show...not your's
