Jonathan Matsumoto traded to Florida

Post by falcons86 »

Maybe the Panthers organization will at least give him a chance. Carolina and Philadelphia didn't seem to want to.

Matsumoto is a one-way player. His defensive game has never been great. Unless you got the offensive skill to make up for your lack of skill on the backside you won't get too many call-ups.

No problem Jim. As a Hurricanes fan I was really hoping he'd stick in Raleigh but really did not get much of an opportunity. With a coaching change in Carolina I had a feeling something like this was coming. Good luck to Matsy. Will still be following his career closely.

This upsets me because he was one of the more popular players here in Charlotte with the fans. He was also one of the leading scorers as well.

He was called up by the Panthers Thursday, logging about 5 min. of ice time.

AWESOME!!! :supz:
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
