Put it next to the new one and show OSU games....it woud draw the Buckeye slappies in, but the crappy picture would lead them to actually watch our guys play. We could do kind of a transference thing to broaden the fanbase...

As opposed to sitting under the louge boxes and watching the OSU games on their TVs? ;-)

Those are the rich guy buckeyes....screw them. I'm talking about the unwashed lumpenproletariat buckeye fans...the masses..the ones that wear those ugly red shirts and genuflect towards the birthplace of Jim Tressel.

Does anyone know what the size of the old one was, and what the size of the new one will be?

doesn't matter.... some insecure UT fan will show up and say "mine's bigger" (it's not) and some dum dum will write a letter to the editor of the Sent-Trib about how it blocks his view of the Burger King so he can't make dinner plans as easily while at the game...

Donno. However they have removed 100% of the board from the score/time clock to the top. It may not all be video, but they seem to really like what the board in the Stroh center does. My thought is that you could justify a more expensive board by virtue of having the means to change ads more often, customize them more, even add a dynamic add, rather than the traditional static boards. Plus the cost to make something as large as the space might not be as off-scale-high as it once was.

I would also say, why not put the old video board facing Wooster. We once had a marginally functional text scroll.......which brings back memories, with coming events, etc. At the very least, that lousy old video board could display dates perhaps.

Or on the Stroh facing Wooster advertising upcoming events. Might be easier to read closer to the street.

Might not be bad either. They roll the "road sign" down there for major events. Something more permanent would look better, and having the ads there for when people are stuck in traffic helps.

Put it outside the stadium in a tailgate area for fans to watch top 25 games going on before the game, The buckeyes or a replay of last years matchup when we play MAC teams. Have members of the alumni band play during commercials. Have the band march through the area on their way to the stadium. Have a section where members of the other sports teams greet fans as they go into the stadium and sign autographs/toss out schedules and novelties like foam falcon hockey pucks with the schedule on it. Add one member to the BG Hall of Fame each home football game and have a tent to honor them. Have a section welcoming back local armed forces members that have returned home over the last year. Section off the area and sell beer and food.

Didn't realize Burger King had bird seed on its menu. I assume that's what BirdMan eats. And I have never seen Mr Extreme at a football game, so heck, the bigger the scoreboard the better.

I think the board is a little to small to put up where the old ticker was. And we would not want it to get hacked again... I could see it up on the side of the Stroh Center advertising upcoming events. I could also see it on the inside of the Sebo Center showing other scores throughout the football game.

Or we could have it broadcast the activities in Transfer's office ala The Truman Show.....
