Weasel/Redkskinhawk weekend

Apparently those games got a little nasty!

Loved this paragraph:
Meanwhile, Miami head coach Enrico Blasi completely lost it on Friday night, screaming from the bench, grabbing one of his players by the facemask, reportedly throwing multiple chairs in the locker room after the game, and forcing me to self-edit some tasteless tweets about him being so upset because Shannon Hogan wouldn't sleep with him, possibly due to his substandard height.

Made me laugh out loud! Hey Rico!...Missing Bergeron yet? :-D
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Some entertainment reading both team threads on USCHO. Watched Saturday's game on TV (while watching our game online and listening to 88.1).

Cliffs notes version:
No goal. No visual evidence the entire puck crossed the line. Blasi whined and cried enough after the review (after seeing the replay on the video board) that he convinced the referee to review it again. Had it been ruled a goal on the ice, review would not have been able to overturn it. No conclusive evidence from video.

End of game fight result of poor sportsmenship. scUM leading 3-0, on the powerplay (4-3) with one minute left. scUM player takes a swat at the Miami goalie after the whistle, nobody close to him. Miami players take exception, scUM player defends self with his stick....to the mid section of Miami player. Couple penalties for roughing after the whistle and one from each team with 5 for fighting and game DQ. League definitely needs to look at, and act on, the spear. Totally unacceptable at any level of hockey.
