I see 4 schools (BG, CMU, UT, EMU) that seem pretty equal all around and would represent the conference well in the NCAAs. Plus, Akron, Ohio, Miami, perhaps Kent could easily upended one of these teams. Toledo may have the most depth but their lack of a go- to type person in crunch time probably means a return to the WNIT
I'd put Miami in that upper echelon of teams, not CMU.

I'd put Miami in that group, and I would keep CMU there. CMU is quite possibly the team I'd least like to play in the MAC Tournament. They gave the Falcons all they wanted (and more) WITHOUT 3 of their top players. I watched the CMU-Toledo game online, and CMU came very close to winning that game. If Brandie Baker can give them anything close to what she gave them in the BGSU game, they might be the most explosive team in the MAC. Shoot, they might be the most explosive team in the MAC even without her. I'm not sure what Sue Guevara's role is during the game, b/c I don't think they run any plays, but they've got some talented players.

If Central Michigan is so good and such a threat why are they 4-6 in MAC play? That's not indicative at all of a team worthy of challenging for the conference title.

^Because for a lot of the year, they were missing Brandie Baker...who is extremely talented, and a tough matchup for many teams...she is big and physical. CMU's drawback is that they do not play well as a team...they have a lot of very talented individuals, who are very capable of scoring a ton of points. Another huge issue for CMU is that they don't give much thought to playing defense, but as they showed in BG's OT win, they have the talent to win about any game they play.

In this latest Bracketology the lose to Toledo drops BG to the #13 seed in the Raleigh Region, and we would host #4 seed Delaware, with the other match up at the Stroh being #5 Georgia Tech vs #12 Texas Tech

Delaware would be a terrifying matchup for BG. We don't have an answer for their star player Elena Della Donne, who is projected to be the #3 pick in the 2013 WNBA draft (only behind Brittney Griner and Skylar Diggins).

Maybe Bracketology is irrelevant to the actual outcome of the season; nevertheless, it's fun to think about the predictions.

I agree, I always find the predictions to be fun to think about (same with bowl projections), and even more this year since BG is a host site
