Rocket_Fanatic, your team deserved to win. I think everybody there knew the Rockets would be back in the second half and in position down the stretch and they were.
Also, Toledo has one heck of a nice place to play ball; still can't get used to our place - leaves a LOT to be desired. But they say now they realize they made some mistakes and will start applying band-aids.

No shame for anyone today- great effort by both teams and an exciting performance. BG stopped hitting the threes and we started hitting the frees and that seemed to be the difference. BG seems to be desperately short on the bench-the two BG players who played the most minutes (I think it was number 14 and maybe number 1 who played 40 and 38 respectively) combined to shoot 2 for 20 and the Falcons only got two points from their bench. I'm really surprised there isn't more depth there.

Well BG just had its 13 game win streak snapped. However, another 13 game win makes them the national champions. (5 regular season MAC wins, 2 MAC tournament wins and 6 NCAA wins)

BG struggled again in the second half. Been a problem for the past 5 or 6 games. Better to lose now then next month.

I was sitting around the law school lobby in my BG jersey, doing homework and moping about the loss, when a very kind UT fan approached me, and we had a good discussion about the game. Both teams played a hard fought game, but there is a significant difference between UT and BG - strength off the bench. UT just had solid contributors off the bench, and BG struggled to get production even out of their starters. We both agreed the BG starters got tired from a physical game and couldn't hold on in the second half.

But, one thing we can take pride in: Jasmine Matthews held Courtney Ingersoll to just ONE bucket, and that was in the last two minutes of the game. Kudos! That is some incredible defensive effort from our great freshman.

If you were in the law school you should have been cheering the win by your school! By the way Mathews didn't just hold Ingersoll to one basket- she held her to about three shots. We got nothing on the perimeter.

Hmmm, doesn't sound like you were cheering your school on. Sounds as if you were cheering your FORMER school on. Were you the guy in orange buying Rocket sweats in the Rocket Store before the game? that's true, though-there was a guy all decked out in BG stuff buying a little kid's Rocket sweatsuit. Maybe, he decided to send his son to UT?

I also found it odd that one of BG's trainers and a couple assistants were wearing blue shirts.

Had I not seen the game highlights on channel13 I wouldn't had thought anything about it but deep down I knew something wasn't quite right with end of the game! BG did not get screwed Dustin, but in a few years when you in the slammer up in Toledo you may get screwed. Stop always blaming everything on the officials. They did what i consider a very good job on the game. Bad clock management.and being outcoached is why we lost.

I admit I was over the line but how many times does Dustin need to always blame the refs, complain about our fans, bash the AD, or write letters to the editor. I shouldn't have to put him on ignore to post either. To those I may have offended I am sorry but if Dustin doesn't care about what he says why should I.

That loss was probably the most bitter women's loss I've experienced in a long time. But, I will give tons of credit to the rockets for that comeback. I told Jake at halftime the 1st five min of the second half was the key and sure enough, ut ran off an 8-0 run and it was game on. Richardson is a beast and Dortsch is a pain in the azz. It was an electric atmosphere and I thought Savage looked pretty nice with all the renovations.

As we walked in, some ut fan (in a fun way) poked fun and said "Hey, isn't BG in Kentucky?" I responded with "Um, ins't Toledo in Spain?' He got a good laugh outta that. The only bad thing was the absolute ahole and his kid next to us in the stands that complained about EVERY single call against ut...I mean every single thing. I kept my mouth shut for the most part (Mrs. Freak would have been very proud of me LOL). But at the end, they started shooting BS our way. I simply responded, 41-28 all time series and 22 combined Regular season and Tourney MAC Titles. Eh, BG has their share of idiots as well. LOL.

We won't forget this come March...;0) Plus, we still have a game lead in the overall MAC standings for the regular season title.
