2. Normally after a game officials don't stick around, yet I watched them huddled up and discussing something.
3. Brandi said something to the officials!
Tell me we didnt get screwed! Ok we may have missed a lot of shots but had we of gotten that foul shot maybe just maybe we could have tied it up! But no! The officials screwed it up big time!

Darn, you caught us, Dusty. Irrefutable evidence that the fix was on. Here's how it went down-We committed those two fouls to keep BG from scoring. The officials didn't make either call nor would they if we had committed ten more fouls. any basket BG made would have been waved off because we paid off the officials. Your sharp eye was able to discern the discrepancies from normal practice-here's what number 2 and 3 meant: Number 2, the officials meeting was for the purpose of discussing where they would be vacationing with the money, while number three was Brandi, the bagman, telling them where she would deliver the cash. We just didn't count on anyone like you to see the highlights and figure the whole thing out.

Actually, Dusty, your whole premise is Number 2 if you ask me.

Dustin, you were not there. I was. I thought the game was one of the better called games. BG did not get screwed. We were outcoached and even Miller said he takes the blame for the loss. If anything Steffen traveled twice in the last 7 seconds so if anyone had a complaint it would have been Toledo. BG just seems to lose its focus in the second half. Been that way for the past 6 games. Cannot blame the refs for the loss. Sorry dude but your just wrong.

good game no matter the outcome, i am glad UT came back to make it close and keep butts in the seats all the way til the end. You know you're gonna get your moneys worth each time these two play.

No sign Nazis at UT. I saw plenty of signs, my personal favorite being the one promoting the "ROCETS" (sic).

Officiating? I spoke with a UT fan after the game who mentioned to me the amount of times there were referee conferences with the woman chastising the one guy for his calls.

Personally, I think the problem was that basket since UT couldn't get them to fall the first half at that end and we couldn't get them to fall at that end in the second half. That, and UT stepped up their defense so that when we did take it to the basket they'd take the ball away.

Face it. UT whipped out 4 baskets in a row at the beginning of the second half. In the last few minutes of the second half we'd shoot, we'd miss, they'd shoot and make it - how many times in a row? We brought our A game to the first half and left it in the locker room at the half.

Blame the refs all you want, but we had 18 seconds, screwed around for the first 12 of them and then ...

By the way, for those of you who ran out to their cars, there was a post-game interview on the floor. Tricia Cullop was once again very complimentary of Rogers, Steffen, and Slagle. It sure sounded sincere since the interviewer was also bragging up Slagle.

And, nothing against our own Dave Rice, but it was nice to hear our former announcer again, even if he st-st-still st-st-stutters on the names like Yo-yo-yolanda like he used to with Bu-bu-bu-Breske and others.

Kudos to the Falcons for hitting their free throws 100%!!!
And how fun was it to see their player run into and bounce off Papenfuss?! Way to stand still Allison!

Why else would they talk after the game? Most officials walk in to the tunnel after the game!

My assumption is that they were huddled together to discuss whether or not they thought any time was remaining on the clock as Chrissy's shot was well before the final buzzer would have went off and there might have been a little time left. So they were probably discussing if they needed to review it. If you were there and noticed as they were huddled together one of them looked over at the scorers table and said something that was followed by what looked like confirmation that the clock had indeed expired and then they left the court.

I'm going to guess they discussed whether the clock expired before they blew the whistle. I believe the ball ended up out-of-bounds after that last shot attempt.

That was exactly right. They were discussing the clock. If you noticed the lady ref pointed at the clock above the basket. The ball was out on us so even if a half second were added it wouldn't change the outcome. They were not discussing any fouls. There were no fouls Dustin. If anything would been called it would have been a travel on Chrissy for switching her pivot foot before her attempted shot.

Since it will apparently take each & every one of us to tell you this ... there was nothing foul-worthy on the last possession. Steffen got caught in no-man's land, having picked up her dribble, and UT played great defense on her, Slagle and Rogers. I dislike the team in blue and gold as much as anyone, but they beat us, fair and square. It was a great college basketball game.

UT played a physical game and had a deeper bench...in the end they wore us down. Hell of a game between two really good teams....

UT started forcing the ball down low at the beginning of the second half and got back into it when BG was forced to double team Richardson. We threw a blanket over #21 as well. Then BG countered by moving Rogers? (#32) to the perimeter where she was way to quick for Richardson. The moves on the bench were nearly as interesting as the play on the court. Came down to a senior making a big play and UT defense stepping up for the last minute.

Coupled with a relatively exciting men's game (something we haven't seen since Gene hit the scene) it was quite a weekend with a little something for everyone.

To decide if they wanted to go to Myle's Pizza in BG or Tony Packo's in Toledo.

Debating whether a Curt Miller sans tie is a more Referee-friendly Curt Miller.

The two male refs were trying to get the female ref to drop her dentist who doesn't recommend Trident and go to one of the four that does.

Actually, most jog off the court after the final horn sounds.
