This sounds like a good project for... globetrotter ;)

Find the last team to shoot at least 20 FTs at or below 30% and win. Can't happen too often win or lose.
LOL, that does not interest me that much. 1-10 at one point is just awful. I can easily do that with my eyes shut. How bad must these guys be at foul shooting?

A couple of interesting notes on BGSU's free-throw shooting. The Falcons rank 8th in the MAC in free-throw shooting -- not great, but not abysmal either. In fact, BG shoots free-throws better than both Akron and Buffalo, which are, record-wise, the best two teams in the MAC. On another note, the top three teams in the MAC in free-throw shooting are Toledo, Western Michigan, and Miami -- all three of which could end in the bottom four in the MAC and have to go on the road for the first round of the MAC Tournament.

Just trying to put a little perspective on it all!

Even more perpective
W Howard .73%
W Austin Peay .71%
W Detroit .76%
W Temple .60%
W Malone .66%
W FIU .76%
W OU 68%
W Miami 72%
W CMU 85%
W WMU 75%
W NIU 61%
W Ball State 76%
W Toledo 30%

L Georgia 46% 6-13 Lost by 9
L GW 81% 9-11 Lost by 21
L WKU 66% 8-12 Lost by 7
L Valpo 65% 17-26 Lost by 3
L MSU 80% 8-10 Lost by 14
L Duquesne 75% 9-12 Lost by 10
L UTSA 58% 7-12 Lost by 7
L Akron 44% 4-9 Lost by 1
L Kent 45% 5-11 Lost by 5
L Buffalo 85% 18-21 Lost by 2
L EMU 59% 13-22 Lost by 5

Thoughts.
1. We have not lost a game by more then 5 since January 1st. This team is playing really well right now.
2. Foul shots cost us atleast 4 games
3. Foul shooting precent during wins 68.5% (If you take out the Toledo game it is at 72%-but you can't really do that)
4. Foul shooting percent during losses 64.3%
5. What is probably more telling is Foul Shots taken per contest. We average 18 FTs attempted per win and just 14 per loss.

Since I can easily compile free-throw% in wins/losses, here you go:

Wins - 68.5%
Losses - 64.3%

Agreed that we are playing well right now and I'm having a lot of fun watching this team develop from a team that struggles down the stretch of close games to a team that has lately seemingly learned how to win those close games. Being behind the scenes with this team a lot, I can tell you that the confidence and mindset of this team (especially late in games) is totally different than it was at the turn of the New Year.

Ball State - Tied 48-48 with 4:00 left, Falcons outscore Cardinals 13-6 down the stretch
Toledo - Down 55-52 with 4:00 left, Falcons outscore Rockets 14-8 down the stretch

Great info

Also if we shoot over 70 percent from the line we win 66% of the time. If we shoot under 60% we win 1 out of 6 games or 16%

And if we shoot 73% from the field we win too. So how about we just go for that every game. Lol

And if we play teams with inititials that are limited to a U and a T...we'll win every time

Like the fact that we're 1-3 in games that we shoot 80% or better from the foul line? So ideally, we'd try to shoot well from the line, but not too well. 7-1 when we shoot 70-79% from the line. So if the team makes 4-of-5 to start the game, they should try split a pair next time. Stats can prove anything. :)

Shot 92%....they should have missed a few more and we would have won.
