Weekend series vs Northern Michigan

Post by ffejfalcon »

Ok folks, lets hear your predictions for this weekend. It's gonna be a tough two games.

I say we split (and I'm OK with that):

BG 5
NM 3

BG 3
NM 6

BG Sweep:

BG 4; NMU 2
BG 2; NMU 1

This will not be an easy series, as NMU's record at home is very good, but our road record is also impressive. We need to get 4 points this weekend and hope the weasels take 4 from the schmuckeyes, too!

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEP THE WILDKITTIES!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Ok, so maybe I'm talking out of my ass :drinkers: :butthead: Not sure who will win, but I'm pullin for BG all the way!!!

I'm agreeing with bacn3, but instead, its gonna be:
BG-3
NM-4

BG-4
NM-3

Just because it will get our guys fired up and end the weekend on a sweeter note than a loss would.

NMU scored one goal each of their last 4 CCHA games, and scored 0 and 1 each non-conference game before that. If Jordan plays both games, they'll be lucky to get a goal, and the Falcons have learned how to work the puck into the net.
Good shot at a road sweep this weekend.
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

Falcon connections in Puckhead land

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

NMU Freshman Forward Andrew Sarauer decommited to BG last year and went to Northern Michigan instead because (supposedly) he was told he would have a better chance getting into the NHL on the NMU team than on the Falcon team. He was drafted in the 4th round by Vancouver. Guess time will tell if this was a wise decision on his part.

Also on the NMU team, Junior Forward Pat Murphy, younger brother of former Falcon Ryan Murphy.

GO FALCON ICERS!!!
