Re: #1 Ferris
I believe BG beat a #1 ranked Miami team back in 2007. It was in January, 1st series after new year's. Few in the student population were there because of break.pdt1081 wrote:Trivia: When is the last time BG beat a #1 team?

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Congrats to the Ferris State Bulldogs on winning the 2012 regular season CCHA title with their win over us and Western's loss to the Lakers.

Re: #1 Ferris
agreed, congrats to Ferris! now we just have to hold off Michigan, if anything to take away their chance of having a share at the CCHA title.
Not all that upset about this game last night, I wonder if we should just play a man down all game because we seem to defend the power play well. We won in shots and face-offs, which at least represents some sort of desire to win and battle out there. It looks like one was an empty netter, so with all that in mind I like our chances next year. I hope this isn't a slow climb out of the basement of the CCHA or WCHA, but it very well may be.
Now we need to get every student, resident, and BG fans in general into that arena against UofM; because they will have as many fans as they can there. Tell your churches, work centers, classes(give extra credit), athletics market the heck out of this game, pack that place and close the season out with two games that will leave people saying, wow ...now thats what I remember about BG hockey or wow what a game and place to play.
thats all I got, I wish the season went on the entire year, looking forward to watching the highlights for next weekend as we beat ufm!
Go Falcon Hockey!!!

I don't believe it will be a "slow climb." Look at all the ice time and experience these freshman and sophomores logged this year. Look at who did the majority of the scoring. All of that bodes well for our future.BGHockeyisRtradition wrote:It looks like one was an empty netter, so with all that in mind I like our chances next year. Agree, we need to pack the barn, but not because we are playing the weasels, but to honor those two seniors (McIntosh & Sinclair) who stuck by this program when most of their classmates bailed out on what they thought was a sinking ship. Those two boys deserve a BIG BG crowd thanking them this weekend and especially on Saturday night!!BGHockeyisRtradition wrote: Now we need to get every student, resident, and BG fans in general into that arena against UofM; because they will have as many fans as they can there.
