I was 3 days away from my 12th BD, watching the game on tape delay. I was able to record the game on DVD when ESPN ran the game a couple years ago. One of thee greatest sports memories EVER...

FALCON FOOTBALL ROCKS!
Home, getting ready to watch the "tape delayed" broadcast, having avoided all media until that point. My mother-in-law, who doesn't have a sporting bone in her body, phoned and said "Did you hear that we beat the Russians?" Fortunately, my wife took the call and, good sport that she is, didn't say a thing until after the broadcast.

That was so cool of your wife not to spill the beans.

I guess my daughter must be 32 now. She was 4 months old at the time. We knew the final score ( we won ) so why the big celebration . When Eruzione scored, we screamed; Cheryl climbed up JoAnne's face.
A week later Cheryl wore a pint sized Team USA uniform to a Falcon game. She grew up in the Ice Arena.
Tonight the 4th generation Puckhead will be going to a BGSU game. My grandson will probably be wearing that Team USA uniform.
Thanks for the memories Kenny and Mark.
