What is going on with these half court contests??

Post by vwfalcon »

Kid drained a half courter for an Ipad like it was nothing... that has to be at least the 4th half court shot that was made for a contest this season.

The thing is, they're only selecting athletes in peak shooting condition to take these shots. My favorite was the guy last Saturday.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I know that when I was a kid, we always practiced that whole last-second half-court shot to win the game. Eventually, you started sinking them without thinking about it. I had actually gotten to the point where I didn't even need a running start. Unfortunately, I stopped lifting weights and just packed on a few extra dozen pounds. I definitely need a running....or waddling start.

Actually, it was tacos. 204 of 'em. Of which I was able to enjoy 8. :(

That kid will hate himself when he has to buy a data plan. That's what I'm telling myself at least... :-D
