In printing out the College Sports Madness info on Lex for Players of the Week, a former BG Falcon was also listed.
Victoria McGowan was named Player of the Week for the Atlantic Sun Conference. She now plays for Stetson. I think she's also a senior.
Congrats to her.......once a Falcon......always a Falcon.

Really glad to see she's had success and has found a place to thrive (including, as that article mentions, a triple double - 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists). She's currently a junior (she was part of the recruiting class with Jess Slagle and Maribeth Giese) so perhaps we'll keep seeing her name.

She had a triple double in an double overtime loss to Ball State.
Victoria may have wanted the last two points to help the Hatters win. She has had another triple double since this article. Fun to check up on any & all former players no matter what they are doing. Much success.
and she is a junior..... Jess & Maribeth are both seniors for BG....Jess being one of the captains. They are in their four year of eligibility.
V had to sit out a season like all who transfer.

She also made a 55-foot buzzer-beater shot to win a game in the semi-finals of the Atlantic Sun conference semi-finals last season.

Victoria was named A-Sun Player of the Year yesterday.
