And I have no idea what your trying to say. Your more confusing than my bi-polar dog. One day your praising the team and talking about 20 wins, and yes earlier in the MAC season you were behind the coaching staff. You think Crawford is above average. You think CAM is an elite center. And now you predict 4 more wins and want Orr to be let go. Talk about confusing???
And? You were not already speaking so you can't really say and. Why do you rarely ever speak to the topic?

None of what you wrote makes any sense.
1. This team is playing amazingly well and that's undeniable.
2. Jordan Crawford has been very much above average over the last 9 games.
3. I have never said Cam Black was a stud. I said he had potential to be a stud if he was not so darn passive. He has a very good defensive game and a nice touch around the basket. He might blossom into something really special.
4. I don't really think we are going to win 4 more games. I would love it though.
5. I think you don't know what the phrase "in spite of" means.

Bottom line is they are fun to watch.
You will not get much more than that out of BGSU men's BB. Do you really think anytime soon a BG team is going to tear it up in the MAC, walk into the NCAA tournament and win a few games? If so you will be waiting a long long time. I have been waiting since 1968 for something like that to happen. I have given in to the realization it is just not going to happen. So go to the game and have some fun watching the team at hand. It's not going to get too much better. Good coaches, really good coaches, have tried and it just ain't going to happen.
Note: While watching the Elite Eight this year, pay attention to the talent on the floor and you will see how far we have to go.

Orr was hardly "proven" at Seton Hall. Remember, they fired him. His overall record was under .500 there. Had we been able to land Gary Waters before Cleveland State did, I think this program would be in a much different place right now.

Just throwing it out there...I would make fun of somebody that is an alcoholic or suicidal before I would make fun of somebody with a mental disorder. But let's be honest, Dustin does not suffer from a mental disorder, unless you consider stupidity and childish behavior as a disorder.

That's fair...discussions like this should probably be left for after the season ends...

So should discussions about roster line ups and where will our points come from. Can we finish the 2011-2012 season before we think about 2012-2013. Lol

Hey g, personally, I love talking about recruiting and future rosters. How can you not love talking about the future of the program? Sheesh.

Well, he was Big East COTY, a coaching talent pool better than in the MAC. Orr was 80-69 overall and 38-42 in the Big East. Before that, he tied for 1st in the league at Sienna. That IS proven. I agree with you on Gary Waters though.

But please let's get back to the original point. Over 27 years, Laranaga, Dakich, and Orr have all fallen flat at this university. Maybe, just maybe, university environment and coaching situation at BG leaves a bit to be desired. I submit that these three coaches, if they were at Ohio U, Ball State, Duquense, Miami, or a number or other places (like Sienna or George Mason), they would have fared better than they did here. Just something to consider.

<sarcasm>I agree. Now, it's about time we cut the men's team because it's a drain. Just have women's bball.</sarcasm>

It's a joke, so don't think I'm being serious.

I really like Coach Orr as a person...seems like a good man with a good head on his shoulders. He cares about his players and it is a fun team to watch...very frustrating at times but never a dull moment. Love the slams and high flying action and solid D most of the time. I thought BG had a good chance to win at least 20 this year and contend for the title. It seems like we've been treading water for the last few years and always around the .500 level. The program should be better overall. Coach Orr is under contract until when? 2013? I think he needs a very deep trip into the tourney this year to get some confidence in the program. An early exit and the rumblings will get louder. In his favor, I think BG has a good shot to go far...they are a VERY dangerous team and will be a tough out for anyone. We've proven we can beat Kent and Ohio...came very close to beating Akron and UB.

I'm excited for the tourney...GO FALCONS!!!!

1. Coach Orr is our coach.
2. Somebody who genuinely believes that BG should fire a head football coach who twice had been named national coach of the year and has consistently been praised by colleagues in favor of hiring a coach who is a known cheater and a poison is now suggesting we fire a head basketball coach during a successful and fun season. And people wonder why I don't take some posters seriously.

I really don't think anyone wonders why you don't take some posters seriously. People are not wondering about you that much. Why do you have to be so damn argumentative?

I wouldn't say Laranaga fell flat. His BG teams were damn good and Antonio Daniels is one of the best players to wear a BG uniform. His success at George Mason isn't hard to explain. Basketball only school, in a better conference, better arena, and much a higher basketball budget.

Anderson Arena was a complete drag on the program. The last 5 years of Anderson recruits were coming to a dilapidated old building with 1000 people in attendance...good luck recruiting to that.

I'm fine with giving Orr a few more years to see how he can recruit to the Stroh Center.
