Desalvo should be rookie and offensive player of the week.

Ferris State is on Spring Break this week so crowds might be down a little with no students around until sunday.

90-something posts on this thread. Keypads clicking were undoubtedly louder than the home audience (not a crowd) at NMU's Berry Events Center tonight.

This is the first time that BG has won playoff series in back to back years since I've started following the program. That in of itself shows that the program is headed in the right direction.

Winning against Bueller U might seem like mission impossible, but, if Hammond can play like he did tonight, we might have a shot. Hot goalie + playoffs = dangerous team.

Watched it all three nights and saw a lot of people disguised as seats there!!

BRING ON THE BULLDOGS!!!! :supz:
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

It makes a B!G difference when the team respects and wants to play for a coach...

I don't really see a reason or need to throw Pooch under the bus. He's been gone nearly four years now.

I do wonder if this series has put Walt Kyle's job in danger.

Not throwing him under the bus. Just pointing out that the program is definitely heading in a positive direction. Perhaps I should word it different? "The team has more playoff victories in the last 2 seasons than in the previous 8 combined." Does sound more impressive that way.

The second half of the season in review:

Seven series from Jan 7 to the end of the season.

Split or take 5 of the 7 series.

Sweep #2 OSU in two OT Shoot-out wins. (Yes.... I know they were ties, but CCHA gives us SO Wins)
Take games from 3 other Nationally-ranked teams: Western Michigan, Notre Dame, and Michigan

Take down nationally ranked Northern Michigan on their home ice in the first round of the CCHA Tourney.

I Believe. Can't wait until this weekend. Can't wait until next year.
