CCHA Tournament Information

Post by BGDrew »

#4 Bowling Green vs. #1 Michigan

Imagevs.Image

Friday March 16, 2012 @ 8:05pm

Falcons vs. Wolverines at the Joe
The Falcons and Wolverines have only met twice at the Joe for the CCHA tournament. Michigan won both contests.

1996-1997 (Semi-final)
Michigan 7, Bowling Green 2

1989-1990 (Third Place Game)
Michigan 5, Bowling Green 4

Television Coverage
Only those who receive the Columbus or Cincinnati feeds of Fox Sports Ohio will be able to watch the game Friday. This does include the greater Toledo area.

If you live in the Cleveland area and/or if you receive Fox Sports Detroit Plus as part of your cable or satellite package you should be able to watch it on that channel.

Ticket Information
Tickets are available at the BGSU Ticket office. Call
877-BGSU TICKET for more information. Tickets are $10 for the upper bowl and $25 for the lower bowl. You can also buy them @ http://www.olympiaentertainment.com/def ... &objId=497 but by getting them from BGSU you're going to be in a section with other Falcon fans.

Media Blowout

Feel free to use this thread as a gathering organizer or any other tourney info you have. As I find out anything I'll post it here.

I've put in for Todd and I to get credentials for this weekend but there's no guarantee that either will be approved (pesky non-traditional media) but I'm hoping we can be there to document this amazing run.

Our room is booked! Tickets will be picked up when the box office opens at 9 tomorrow morning!

BEAT THE WEASELS....AGAIN!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."
~~USCHO Poster
"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

If the game's at 8, there's a good chance I'll fly up from Florida for this! Anyone care to swing by DTW to pick-up a fellow falcon fan? Just kidding... but not really :)

I'm there. Don't care what time we play. Did you see the video of the guys celebration? As our guys are celebrating, the Ferris State PA guy is announcing how to get NCAA tourney tickets. Shut up for a few minutes. Then when our guys line up to shake hands, you can hear some jackass in the crowd saying, "so now you want to shake hands?" What do you expect them to do? You are a complete tool.

I'm surprised its the primetime game considering Michigan basketball plays at 7:20 on Friday. Would've thought the CCHA would try to avoid that time conflict.

Is the CCHA Final Four "win or go home?"

Seems kinda odd, considering the semis are 3 game series'.

(Pardon my confusion, it's been many, many years since I remember paying attention to the CCHA Finals :)

Yes, single elimination. Losers form both games meet in the consolation game on Saturday afternoon so either way, BG is guaranteed two more games which is important for extra practices.

That's sort of a stretch. I doubt the falcons will be technically 'practicing' on Saturday morning ;)

That's a great price. No reason not to see a big turnout! Not to mention, any Miami and Western fans that stick around (and any MSU fans there) should ALL be pulling for the Falcons!!!!
