Sure, but our only form of travel once there (besides walking) is charter bus. We have to plan this kind of stuff in advance so we can tell our bus driver when to be where and to get enough interest to make a trip in the first place.factman wrote:There will be people at each team hotel to help with things to do, directions etc.

65-72 is MUCH warmer than normal. Though it looks like rain is coming through a bit this week too so be sure to bring an umbrella.
Definitely check Campus Pollyeyes for the stuffed breadsticks. It might be crowded since there's a lot of folks in town, but it's worth it.
Our College of Musical Arts has a few (free) contemporary music concerts Wednesday and Thursday if you're into a more "classy" evening haha. Wednesday is a faculty piano recital and Thursday's recital is at the Clazel in town.
We also have ice skating at the Ice Arena from 12:15-1:15 on weekdays and from 7PM-9PM on Friday and Saturday. I think the afternoon skates are $6.00 a person while the evening ones are $8.00.
Too bad you didn't come during the late-spring or summer, Cedar Point (#1 Theme Park) is only about an hour away in Sandusky.

Welcome from your hospitality team. You are staying in the Hilton Garden Inn at Levis Commons in Perrysburg, Ohio. Levis Commons is an outdoor shopping area with many upscale shops, eateries and a 12 screen movie theater. The Toledo Zoo would be a good choice. There will be hospitality table at your team hotel. It will be staffed by local people who will be glad to help you find things to do and places to see.

Fat Fish Blue at Levis Commons has some good shows this weekend:

This would be an easy walk from your hotel.
(even though it says Toledo, it is really in Perrysburg, in the same complex as your hotel)

Re: Greetings from Baylor!
Glad to have you aboard, BaylorTrumpetBear. I'm excited to have Coach Mulkie in the house!! (I've had a crush on her since the 84 olympics) She's an intense and amazing coach! It'll be a blast to watch her and your team. I can't wait.
And stay in NWOhio... there's plenty to do and see and the weather is going to be great.

Welcome to NW Ohio! There's a lot to do here, as mentioned before the Zoo and Museum in Toledo are must sees. Both are regarded as some of the best in the country. Shame the weather isn't nicer or I would suggest a trip to Put-In-Bay. Explore downtown BG, there's a lot of neat quaint shops and the nightlife is pretty good all things considering.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: Greetings from Baylor!
Since you're staying at Levis Commons, I highly recommend Biaggi's Italian restaurant. It'll cost you some per diem, but it's totally worth it.
If you end up exploring BG downtown, some other suggestions not mentioned above: Mr. Spots (sandwiches and more), Pisanello's Pizza, and Easy Street Cafe are great local restaurants downtown.
Don't forget dessert. Myles Dairy Queen is NOT your average Dairy Queen. Stop here for blizzards 4x bigger than normal ones for the same price, and pretty much any flavor of blizzard you've ever had (I'd say they offer over 40 flavors, and they will give you up to 3 toppings for no extra cost). The Cookie Jar and More is also amazing for hot, fresh-from-the-oven cookies and cookie-ice cream sandwiches.
Great to have you reaching out to our little town. Our fans love women's basketball AND pep bands, so I hope you feel a warm welcome!

Re: Greetings from Baylor!
I can't imagine any one wanting to be near downtown BG on Saturday with it's being St. Patrick's day and all that goes with it. It's not one of our finer moments for showing off our little town.jpfalcon09 wrote:Welcome to NW Ohio! There's a lot to do here, as mentioned before the Zoo and Museum in Toledo are must sees.
