Louis Orr with a great quote in the blade today. "Consistency is the key to having a good season." Wow, really? He has coached 5 of the most inconsistent teams I've ever watched. His team beat Temple, and lost to Central Michigan. He keeps talking about all the things he needs to fix as a coach. Get more consistent Lou. Learn how to win close games Lou. That is your job. That is why you get paid Lou.

Wonder how Tre would like it in BG? Perfect fit, if you ask me.

Now if only we could make this into a BGSU article, replacing "Louis Orr" with Ernie Zeigler and "Chauncey Orr" with Trey Zeigler, it would be like being a kid at Christmas again!!!! Atleast we know the CMU AD has a clue. To bad we can't get an AD with a clue.

NOT that I want to be bought out....

Zeigler will be paid $368,437 for the buyout clause in his contract.
Wonder what the buyout amount in my contract is?

So CrazyFan wants to replace a Coach who has not lost 20 games a season the past five years with a coach that has two consecutive 20-loss seasons?

Let me take off my "Louis Orr is my coach" glasses and look at it differently -

You want to replace a 76-81 guy with a 75-111 guy (OK - he was 64-90 after five years)?

What am I missing? Maybe Gregg Brandon WAS on to something.

Not only has Coach Orr not lost 20 games in each of the last two seasons (in the MAC West) but he has never lost 20 games in a season. I understand people are frustrated and I am too and we are pretty average but let's at least find a fair comparison.

Wow, is it now an accomplishment to go 5 years without losing 20 games? How many times has coach Orr won 20? Did Coach Orr just lose the biggest game of the season at home to a coach that got fired? My point is not only are we average, but we are also going nowhere. Fire him before it gets to 20 loss seasons.

Oh, and 1 other thing. Since tonight's postseason tournament game basically means nothing, do you think it is finally time to let senior Torian Ogelsby start a game before his career ends? I mean he should have been starting all year anyway, but maybe someone could wake Lou up, and let him know that is a common gesture in college basketball.

Good God man. Your totally misreading what I meant. U think im an idiot. Why would I want YET ANOTHER horrible coach. What I was saying is the article would of been a lot better IF Louis Orr was the one getting fired and Chauncey was the one that was tweeting "its been real." It's like killing 2 birds with one stone. And fans with your opinion are the problem with BGSU. U accept mediocrity. Well I don't. Fire him before he runs this team into the basement and it takes the next coach 4 years just to bring us back to a level we can actually compete with GOOD programs like OU, Kent and Crackron.

I watched the CMU tournament game this year. I watched the Akron and Duquesne games in 2010-2011. 3 of the most pathetic efforts from BGSU basketball teams I have ever seen. Lou tells us over and over again how balanced the league is, yet his teams lack all the "little things" it takes to win close games and be what Akron, Kent, Ohio have been over the past few seasons. 5th out of 12, is better than 9th. Watching this years team was much more fun than most of the last 10 years, but you get graded as a coach on what you do when it matters. Consistency is the key to a successful season, yet Calhoun can score 4 points on Wednesday and 25 on Saturday. Practice what you preach Lou. Your paid almost 200K to be consistent. Your paid to answer the question and not shrug your shoulders as to why your team lost to a horrible Central Michigan team. Your paid to figure out ways to win close games. And now at BG, your paid to figure out a way to win enough games to put some butts in those orange seats that sit empty after another "shrug your shoulders" performance.

Perhaps we should shut down the basketball program and put ice in the Stroh... ;-)
