I stand corrected. I find it funny that you live in Tiffin, Ohio and you are a U of M fan. If you went to U of M and your life went so wrong that you now live in Tiffin, that is also very funny. I only hate one hockey team more than the egg suckers, and its the weasels.

Is that because Michigan travels so well when they come to Bowling Green or does it have to do with how well Michigan has done?

Michigan joined the CCHA for the 1981-82 season.
Have finished 5th or better in the CCHA standings since 1987-1988 season except for 1 year.
The Wolverines have advanced to the CCHA tournament semi-finals in 24 straight seasons.
Michigan has swept the CCHA championships -- regular season and tournament -- six times, more than any other program.

Just under Coach Berenson Michigan has had what a lot of schools/programs would like to have for their entire history:
NCAA Championships - 1996, ‘98.
NCAA Frozen Fours - 1992, ‘93, ‘95, ‘96, ‘97, ‘98, 2001, ‘02, ‘03, ’11.
CCHA Regular-Season Championships - 1992, ‘94, ‘95, ‘96, ‘97, 2000, ‘02, '04, ‘05, ‘08, ’11. (Most in the conference)!
CCHA Tournament Championships - 1994, ‘96, ‘97, ‘99, 2002, ‘03, ‘05, ‘08, ‘10.

Maybe all the hate has to do with how well Coach Berenson has done against Bowling Green throughout the years as Michigan's coach? Michigan against Bowling Green under "Red" is leading the series 66-26-3 ***Think that included this year, but might not have).

That is very impressive....give UM credit, they win.

BG fans have nothing to be ashamed of. Very nice run knocking off NMU and Ferris on their ice and then having control of the game against Michigan up until the last 21 minutes and overtimes.

I am the hockey writer for GBMWolverine and welcome your opinions on our site.. but keep in mind that the respect you give is the respect you get. I understand that this is your site and that any outsider opinion has to be in good taste. I don't expect most of you to like what is written and I fully admit that I see things from a Michigan perspective. But I also call it as I see it and I try to slant my articles with fact based premises. If that offends anyone then you have to deal with it. Insults don't tend to bother me, so any of you that feel compelled to throw out the stereotypical greetings for Wolverine fans can save it. UNO fans/NMU fans etc. have already got the market cornered on it. Conversely, I won't try to impress your readership with chest pounding Michigan information in response to any snarky posts. If you want to talk hockey, I'll respond. Otherwise I'll ignore you here and I promise that I'll personally toss you off of our site.
Let's enjoy each other's hockey knowledge.

The program will be in great shape next season with Bergeron and with most of the team returning. I expect a better regular season run and growth for your program.
