NCAA Hockey Tournament

Post by gmartin »

5 CCHA schools are in the 16 team field. We could see 3 teams from the CCHA I'm the frozen four and possibly a WMU vs U of M rematch in the final.

Pairwise isn't about the past three weeks. It's about your success throughout the season.

This isn't the BCS people.

Michigan State had to be praying for BG to lose one game this past weekend being they were just above .500 in the win column. I would guess they were the last at-large in the tournament and a BG tournament championship would have knocked them out.

In the chat room on uscho.com there were at least 3 MSU fans that were all rooting for Michigan to beat BG strictly because of that likelihood.

That'd be like, in the last week of the football season, BG fans rooting for Toledo to beat say, Ohio, when an Ohio defeat would put BG into the MAC Championship Game.

While I wouldn't consider it rooting for Toledo, in that scenario I'd be rooting in favor of my team moving on/playing for a championship. If your rival winning is what the scenario needs, that's what I'd be rooting for.

Way to go Bulldogs!!

Laughing my AZZ off at the shots of Rico bitching his head off over and over!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Noticed that as well and thought the same thing......... had memories of '09 when he took a bow after getting tossed in BG.

Pulling for UMASS - lowell (dad works there) and I'm not a fan of J CREW U.

Looking forward to the Falcons playing this time next year.

And THAT game is why I will NEVER root for a Rico coached team.
