It needs to be on at least 48 hours before we can begin to play with it.

It was still on last night. We were coming home from Perrysburg and I saw this giant blue light. I thought to myself, "That must be the new video board."

Yeah...it was still switching solid colors at 9:30 Sunday night. All I can say is the new board is fricking huge compared to that postage stamp we used to have!

In other news, tuition will be raised an additional 4% just to pay for the added cost of running the video board 24/7.

Nah........they will hire another administrator in the department to study the costs involved over GC's tenure and justify it by dropping a couple more sports! ;)

Sorry. Can't raise tuition for this or by that amount (max 3.5% increase).

So instead we'll add the increase to general fees! 8-)

I believe the official term for the old board is Microtron.

Sounds awesome! Anyone have any pics? That old one was too small from day one. I remember seeing it for the first tim after hearing we put one in and knowing it wasn't going to work out at all. Way too small, poor quality, you couldn't see anything they put on it except for starting lineups and score updates. Replays and crowd shots looked tiny and a mile away. Good idea, poor product. Sounds like we hopefully got it right the second time around though (crossing fingers).

I would almost guarantee that it will operate like the one in the Stroh Center where the ads will be projected onto the screen and then hidden when replays are on there
