Enough with the video board envy -- All I want is a winning and then a championship team. Video boards don't win a damn thing in my book.

Relly? I thought they did...we aren't getting 7pts at the start of every game for havinga new board? Why'd we do it then?
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

We do if we program it that way. Just put a 7 on our side at the start of every game.

As someone who used to keep score for various sporting events, the scoreboard is not the official score, It's only for entertainment purposes ;)

None of us on this board can bring that winning or championship team you want, but we can talk about a video board, so I expect that to keep happening while the team deals with that winning and championship team stuff

Bad news. We had to drop football b/c we lost so much money by keeping the video board on for 48 straight hours. We also cut several baseball scholarships for no reason.

The video board was pretty impressive. I posted a pic of it "in action" on facebook, if anyone wants to post it here. Feel free to do so, I would if I knew how.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I saw the image posted on here when it was turned off. Does the entire darkened part of it when it is turned off become the screen for the image? Or does it now have electronic ads that appear on the outer edges when it I turned on? I hope the entire board portion is now for video.

I'm sure there will be ads on it.

They showed a strip along the left side and bottom advertising season tickets and the first home game, I think. And I think it went to full screen for replays. They do need to work on the sound system. A lot of scratchy static when the mike on one of the refs kept flaking out. Video board looked really impressive, though.

I wonder if this is what Arthur C Clarke had in mind when writing the Space Odyssey books.

I hope no one touches themselves inappropriately when first seeing the new video board. It's because of this board, we are looking for a new women's basketball coach!*

*wild assed statement with absolutely no grounding in fact or reality - which is fairly common on this board.
