Can the alumni come and play with us at EVERY game???

(And can we have a monster a-band, and a sold-out arena, and a crazy awesome game every time too? )

You guys were f--k--g HUGE tonight for the men's game. If thats what it takes to get more A-Band tournout, they need to limit student tickets more often. ;)

That was the BEST I have ever heard the athletic band in my decade here at BGSU. Ryan knew exactly what to play and when to play it. I hope the College of Musical Arts keeps him around as long as possible. You guys are amazing!

Absolutely! :D

And I finally get what you guys always mean about Screamer. When we finished playing it at a slower tempo than we usually do, two other flutes and I looked at each other with wide eyes and said, "Whoa!! I LIKE it slower like that!"

We probably played it just a hair faster than that, but not much. That was pretty close to what it was "back in the day"

It's too bad so many alumni were not able to make it due to the weather, but where would we have put them? Is the student band always that big? I heard they are averaging close to 50 at most games. The alumni probably added another 15 or a little more, so I bet that combined band was close to 70!!!

Anyway, that was a great time and a great game. It was great getting to shut up the obnoxious UT fans behind us. (I must agree with Jeff R though when he said they never really went too far with anything)

I'm looking forward to getting together again at the hockey game, and maybe a few more alumni can make it this time.

who else showed up for the alumni game? When I left I think there was only 8 alumni there? Correct me if I'm wrong!

Yes, too bad that the weather was bad! Hopefully we'll be invited back next year and take up the entire south end! :)

Nah, most of the time the band isn't that big. Besides the alumni, you had all of Top Flight band, probably half of Talon band (so they could get into the game without the hassle of student tickets ), and also two highschoolers who were there for reading clinic but whose parents hadn't come yet lol.

Wish it was that size all the time though! That was friggin awesome! :D

Which hockey game are you coming to?

There may not have been 15 Delaine. I was guessing and probably over did it  Either way, that was one big band for the mens game.

FliccGirl, the alumni have been invited to play along with the student band again for the Feb 19th game against WMU. As always, I'm looking forward to it. Now if we can even come close to the size of this weekends band for that game!! Imagine that kind of volume at the ice arena

I couldn't agree more. You guys were terrific and really added so much to the game! I couldn't believe how many of you there were up there!

Aw, boo. Of course it's the weekend I promised my mom I'd go home. Ah well.

Edit: Actually, I lied. Or well, I didn't, but my mom did. She switched weekends on me so I'll be there! :D

The IU block for TBS and KKPsi is also on the 19th, so I'll unfortunately not be at the game... and I think I'll need a sub for that game. Any volunteers??
