Well, I couln't make it out of Elmore yesterday so I ended up watching from home. The roads out here in the middle of nowhere were drifiting back over as quickly as they were being cleared.

What a game though!! The Anderson Animals looked SO good on TV!! They seemed to have a camera on the group every time they cut to or away from the game. VERY cool!!

I told Maryellen just before the second half "I'm not really that concerned... now we're going to see what this team is really made of!" That's exactly what we saw!! What a performance in the second half.

And have you EVER seen Dan Dakich more animated on the sideline?? He was pumping his fists, getting SO into the game, the big wind-up high-five to Germain Fitch when he came out of the game with 4 fouls... you could TELL DD was as excited as the Anderson Animals!!

I usually seem to miss one home game a year... why did it have to be this one!?!??! I'll just have to add one more road trip to make up for it.

DD WAS amazing. Waving his arms for the crowd to get up, screaming for five second calls, he was PUMPED. My heart is racing, and the game was yesterday.

I'm sorry if you had to miss this game!!! I said it before and I will say it again, this was close to being the best men's basketball game I've seen in Anderson since I've been cheering for the Falcons!!!!!

Yes, I will say that the BG seniors and the falcon basketball team were amazing and deserve all the credit for showing a sense of dedication and passion that made the place Roar , but I must also credit anyone who was a Falcon fan out there last night for contributing to the win!!

The Sideline Squad, the Anderson Animals on the sidelines, the pep band, the dance team, the entire student section, the Falcon club members, the "seasoned" or "older" falcon fans who rose to their feet, and of course my fellow cheerleaders who, in my opinion, displayed one of our best performances as cheerLEADERS!!!!! Awesome job to everyone who was in Anderson last night......It was truly amazing!!!!! Let's Keep it Up!!

Those are the sort of things that I think would have really helped last Saturday. The students shouldn't need help cheering, but when Dakich starts pumping fists, yelling, screaming, and cheering and when the players slap the floor on D it really gets the crowd going. A monster follow-up dunk from Fitch really helps out with the energy too.

Grant, I just want to say thanks to those who kept us updated here on the site and of course that could not have happened with out creating this great site for us.
There was no way we would have made it home to NE Pa. with all the snow we have here and what was between BG and home. I can't believe it had to be this weekend that we got our largest snow of the year. But it was so exciting watching the updates here online. I couldn't believe that run. So thanks again for giving us BG fans from the NE a place we could follow the game. BTW ESPN updates were sooooooooooo slow. I would have went crazy it the updates were not posted here.

I was wondering if you were there or not, Grant, but it's good to hear that things are all right AND you got to catch the game on TV.

DD was in old form last night -- but I'd say his jumping and screaming were more to get the folks in the upper bowl to make some noise. The students seemed to be on top of it, but when we needed the whole place to roar, the GA and reserved seats turned it on right on cue.

My favorite moment was when Floyd and the rest of the team slapped the floor going down that final stretch. That was a staple of the Matela/Pardon/Cowboy/McLeod teams -- and it never ceases to get me going when the Falcons do it (or when I awkardly attempt the same during intramural games). VERY cool.

Man, I wish I could've made it to this game. We wanted to see the auto show so we had to make a decision which game to see. I wanted to go to the WMU game because they were the better opponent, and I thought we should easily handle UT at home. Besides whenever I see us play UT we always lose

Judging from the results of both games we made the wrong decision of which game to miss

At least we made it to Detroit & back safely. I don't doubt that the back roads out your way were terrible Grant. When we left at 9:00 our side streets hadn't seen a plow yet, and the highway wasn't too great either. However, at least we got outta here before that additional 4-5 inches fell, which would've been an issue for the hoops game. By the time we came home the highways were fine, but the back roads were still drifting something fierce. There was a 2 foot drift across my road, and I still have a 3-4 foot drift in my driveway

Thank god for 4WD!

Next time this snow blows up, I'll drive up to Elmore and drag your butt down for the game!

That's a deal!! The Golf TDI is great for mileage... but it's not the most extreme weather vehicle out there. Hahahahhaa...
