Death of another BGSU student

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

BOWLING GREEN, OH (THE BLADE) — A Bowling Green State University student from Vermilion, Ohio, was found dead in her off-campus apartment Wednesday night.

Foul play is not suspected. BGSU Spokesman Dave Kielmeyer said Hilary Mankin, 20, reportedly had been ill for several days. Bowling Green police said Ms. Mankin's roommate found her not breathing and called 911 about 10:20 p.m.

Ms. Mankin, a junior theatre major and resident adviser in Kreischer Compton Residence Hall, was the 10th BGSU student to die since August, Mr. Kielmeyer said. Five students died from injuries sustained in traffic crashes, one committed suicide, three died after illnesses, and one death has not yet been ruled on.

A spokesman for Wood County Coroner Dr. Douglas Hess said autopsy results still are not complete for Kayleigh Chambers, 20, of Delta, who was found dead in her off-campus apartment April 26 after her boyfriend called police saying she had a gun and was threatening to harm herself.

I'm thinking when all is said and done.... this particular one is going to be a murder case. :(
