Here are this years Reese and Jacoby Cup standings. If a coach performed at this level after 5-6 years of being in charge of the program, I don't have to tell you what would happen. Dr Mazey, it is time for you to take action!
Absolutely sad, but someone on this board will come to GC's defense and say how this doesn't matter or theres a flaw in the way the results are formulated or some BS like that. Apparently people love mediocrity and instead of striving to be great, they would rather play it safe and stick up for the below mediocre people we have in key positions, like Director of Athletics and Head Men's Basketball Coach.
Those standings are not good. But really who is to blame? Are the coaches who recruit these athletes? Or do they not have the resources to be competititive? Or are the athletes not doing as well as people would like? Is money and or scholarships always the answer? Lots of questions, but who has the answers? All of us can complain as much as we want, but do we have the answers? Would a change of AD or coach bring any different results? You need to talk to the people involved in these decisions. Maybe there are good reasons for what has been done. But I do not know as I haven't ever looked at the budget of the Athletic Department and what their priorities are. Let's get behind the teams, ALL of them. Maybe we can make a difference.
Not trying to be a smartass, but how did BG fare during Paul Krebs tenure as AD? I tried performing a basic search and didn't want to sort through all of the links.

I've said it before...if we're good at men's and women's hoops, football and (I know it's not a MAC sport) hockey and maybe...baseball, I could give a crap if we suck at everything else. But...with the exception of women's hoops and possibly football in 2012, we suck at the core sports as well. factman's right...this is fu**ing embarrassing to look at.
Do we want to compete as a D1 program or not?
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
I looked...we won the men's in 94 and 95 and the women's in 92/93/94.
Traditionally, we haven't done well overall.....I've said it before and I'll say it again. BG has always seemed to do sports on the cheap. Coaches were allowed to park their butts here and so long as they didn't cause any major headaches, who cares if they win?

I just took a look at the pic....liked what I saw from the young lady in the Gray dress! Oh! This is supposed to be about our sports programs....sorry...forgot.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

I'm not saying we have to win it every year or anything close, but I would at least like to be competitive, and we have been last or near the bottom for 4-5 years! If I had my choice, I would like to be in the top third in baseball, football and basketball, year in and year out (I agree with Flip on this) but at least be competitive periodically with the other sports. This last place and next to last just plain doesn't cut it, and it is time for a change in the culture in the athletic department!

And consider the opposite, would people on here really be happy and not calling for GC's head if we were near the top of this list, doing great in the non-revenue sports, but our core sports were still right around where they currently are or worse.

No..we wouldn't be happy at all. The core sports I listed drive the impression...I'm just getting tired of only being able to point to women's basketball as a decent program here...

As far as I know, BG's been at or near the bottom of these awards for the last 5 years. I want EVERY BG team to do well, win titles, rankings, ect...to see these standings is simply unacceptable.
