BG has, without question, a relatively weak brand in IA athletics. If you want to build and promote a brand you define the marketing base and then hold it. You don't tweak unless it's not working. You don't know it's not working in a single year. So, these tweak are aggressive [Apple switching to black boxes] when you are building a brand and BG's brand is nowhere near "established" in the grand scheme of things. I welcome anyone who would counter that statement.
Oregon first built their brand in 2000 going to a green helmet with black. It was a hit. Bowl games helped. It wasn't until five years or so later Nike started cladding them in ugly. They did not
build a brand on random variation.
I agree, hammb. The LT logo was awesome on par with Apple, ATT, Cisco, and Nike.
