.....Kent State goes an amazing 24-3 in MAC play, with BG handing them two of those three loses, and the Falcons also won weekend series against 2nd place finishers Ohio (East) and CMU (West) - but BG didn't even make the MAC Tournament. Strange to have a poor conference season with so much success against some of the top teams. The fact that the entire MAC - COMBINED - dealt Kent State only 1 loss and BG alone beat them twice is something else.

The two wins against Kent got no press however the sunday loss 31 - 20 got press all over the place.

Kent State followed up its win over #2 Kentucky in the Gary Regional with a win over #1 seed Purdue. The Golden Flashes are sitting in good shape to make a possible Super Regional!
