One of the best shooters in the midwest. Had 7 or 8 offers when he committed to BG.

Nice shot but a 6'2" guy on a clean breakaway and he doesn't dunk? Old school.

I remember one dunk in that film clip. I'll settle for simple layups if he makes them.

Luke Kraus 2.0? Nonexplosive undersized white guards scare me. He looks like a nice shooter though with some decent skills...although his competition doesn't look that great.

White guards? What's up, minister Farrakhan.....

But then again, we've had some pretty good honkies here at BGSU. Pardon, Matela, Thomas. It's a honkie that holds the all-time single-game scoring record for Anderson Arena. Don't dismiss this kid until he has a chance to show up and play.

I agree but you don't tend to see a ton of explosive athleticism from white guys-which none of the three you named have although they were all tremendous basketball players. I think you need a blend of Scott Thomas's and Torian Oglesby's to really be good.

I'm white...I had close to a 40 inch vertical in HS....it's still close to 30 and I now weigh right around 300lbs at 50 years old...hell...I can still tuck jump a 42 inch hurdle from a standing position. There are fantastic athletes who are white, black, asian, hispanic...whatever....so many that you can't use race as a predictor of athletic ability. Why in the hell would you even want to? Sports are supposed to be the one place where we can set aside the stupidity that plagues the rest of society.....why even go there?

Because white slow guards don't tend to show well. Its an absolute predictor. Name 1 white guard drafted in the NBA this year. Are there some athletic white guards? Sure, and it sounds like you were a heck of an athlete.

Dog, that is ONE HELL of a vertical leap. The highest vertical leap for NBA lottery candidates this year was Harrison Barnes' 38".

Are you sure you aren't making this up, old man? ;)

The great thing about recruiting a kid from a less talented/small HS conference these days is they play AAU and coaches get to see them against the better competition playing with a better team. Both these factors are better indications if the kid can play college ball vs. guessing based on scoring 40 point average vs. a diluted City League for example.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
