SCHEDULE CHANGE:
Game 1 of BG's home series against Notre Dame Dec. 14-15 has been moved to Jan. 15, a Tuesday night. Bergeron said the switch was made to accommodate an academic event at Notre Dame.

So, we have to change OUR home schedule (giving up a Friday game for a freaking TUESDAY game??) to accommodate an event AT ND???
GRRR!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Would you rather piss off a major program that won't be in our conference any more after this year and guarantee that they won't come play us again in the future?

What's the guarantee ND WILL come play us in the future? Play the game on the scheduled date.

I like the MSU and the WMU series, probably tough on the players, the split between the UofM games doesn't make any sense, but hopefully thats two sellouts and two major victories. Looking forward to this year, really enjoyed watching these guys close out last season with such success!

Go Falcon Hockey!!!

For all we know, that guarantee may have been part of agreeing to this change.

Regardless, why go burning bridges when you don't have to?

FWIW, it is for an academic reason. I find that more acceptable than changing it for something non-academic.

From what I remember reading the split for the UM games was because they agreed to play Cornell at Madison Square Garden the weekend of Thanksgiving (when our series with them was suppose to be)

Schedule Change 2:
at Canisius bumped from Friday/Saturday to Saturday/Sunday, Jan 5-6. Of interest probably just to me and some parents.

And then they play Tuesday the 8th at Michigan. 3 road games in 4 nights will be tough, but then they have a week off until the next Tuesday against ND. Wonder how many back-to-back Tuesday games there have been...

Friday/Saturday would have been easier...but, since the Sunday game is at noon-ish (12:05), and it's 5-6 hour drive (according to Google Maps), we can do it and still be home early enough to get a decent night's sleep before going to work on Monday!
