I was reflecting whilst listening to the '89 tape. We had a good sounding band in 89 and 90 as well as 91. 91 is where we sounded good AND played challenging music.
I've got to agree, Mark. Shout was FUN!! I love the bass line at the start and then how the drums come in...and then the raunchy part in the middle... GOOD STUFF!!

Can't Turn You Loose in 27 seconds and having it sound GOOD was a feat never to be duplicated I'm sure!

Do you remember the season we started doing "Falcon Chant" when the team took the floor??? I still have the bass part for that. It was freaking COOL!!! I don't think the crowd ever bought into it, but the music was powerful. Didn't they even turn the lights out or something??

One of few of Sparks ideas I actually kind of liked.

Oh, and how much do you want for a copy of '91-'93 on CD? I'll pay whatever it takes to get it. Well, almost.
I was in that Tuba line. It was actually an elaborate setup with a battery powered ignitor and a buttload of magicians flash paper. It worked, but it was a huge gold fireball coming out of a brass-colored bell. no one in the stands knew it, and not all of them worked...I think Jeff Benecke's went off in the middle of the show. The effect was something like "wtf was that...the sun glaring off the bell????"

It sure was fun playing that part, but they wouldnt' let us trill....sounded like an elephant yodeling.
