The article refers to Bowling Green as a traditional opening week cupcake, but also discusses the real possibility that Florida will be looking ahead to a huge and historic week 2 game against Texas A & M. I have not seen much talk about this one here. Obviously its impossible to tell if this will affect the game or not, but it is interesting nonetheless. You always hear after a big upset, how the favorite was "looking ahead" to the next weeks game. This could very well be a trap game for UF. Just a point, take it for what its worth.
GO BG, can't wait for 3:30 Saturday. BEAT FLORIDA

Re: Interesting ESPN Article on Florida/BG
Sounds like typical ESPN, UF is playing a team that the "worldwide leader" doesn't even have someone cover, so of course they're a cupcake. I think BG hangs around for a half, maybe 3 quarters. UF's offense sounds like it's struggled mightily in camp and even looking at last year's stats.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: Interesting ESPN Article on Florida/BG
At the moment, and what has been seen on the field the last two years, UF is not good enough to take anyone lightly.
If the Falcons beat Florida, it was because you are better than we are, not because we overlooked you. BGSU has something to prove, but so does UF.

Very true...IMO, I think it's going to be a competitive game. Obviously UF has a huge advantage at home and with depth. BG MUST play mistake free ball. In games like this, turnovers and stupid penalties will kill any chances.gwright64 wrote:If the Falcons beat Florida, it was because you are better than we are, not because we overlooked you. I don't know that the Gators can afford to "look ahead." They have to take every game seriously.

Re: Interesting ESPN Article on Florida/BG
Taking a big picture view...I look at the roster we have the talent and depth we have especially at RB, DB and LB and I think we're as well equipped to handle a challenge like UF as we've been since 2003. I think they'll beat us by about 10-14 pts...but we'll be there with them. I'll be suprised...and disappointed if they destroy us by 25-30 pts or if they put us away by halftime
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
