It is true Ryan chose to cover Toledo. Can't really blame him there. The commute to AA everyday couldn't be great. Plus it's hard to cover your alma mater.

Ryan's one of the best sports writers in Toledo and I didn't take any offend from what he said.

You know...I really need to proof read when my Sheltie jumps on my lamp when I'm trying to type...:)
Lamp? Hell...I need to proofread when the dogs are outside in the yard as well... :)
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

One of our assistant coaches has mentioned The Blade series on Toledo gang violence in several of his recent Twitter posts.

He either has a strong interest in criminology or considers the war-zone like conditions that surround our biggest rival a helpful thing to remind recruits about.

Urbie always said that he would sell the (relatively speaking) safe, small college-town atmosphere to recruits and their families.

One of our lay leaders at my church up here in Michigan does some clergy work at a hospital in Toledo and he says the violence is quickly getting out of hand. Glad I got out when I did.
