Toledo roll call

Post by Falcon137 »

Who is going to the game Saturday? There will be 4 of us in our group, making our 1st trip to the Glass Bowl.

Where will the BG folks be tailgating?

I scored free tickets from a UT friend and got a parking pass, so probably be in the season ticket lot.

I'm gonna miss this one. Heading to Ohio State to visit my son and watch the Buckeye-Cal game.

BG fans usually tailgate in the lot along Secor Road.

We usually TG outside Rockette Hall on Secor and, I think, Dorr? I just know how to get there. At this time it will be Jake and me...and possibly a friend of his. If not, I will probably have an extra ticket since Josh has school stuff to do this weekend. I am hoping to roll in about 2 or 3. :supz:

Anyone going to the alumni tailgate?

https://myziggy.bgsu.edu/ccon/events_ac ... nt_id=AAUT

It's pretty vague as far as details. I'm assuming food and pop with cash bar?

Though I'm not going to the game this weekend, I'm wondering WHEN BG will stop charging such ridiculous fees for these events... $25 bucks a person seems way out of line to me, as the "food" provided has been less than stellar at several of these events I've attended in the past. :-k

The $25 a person is likely because it's as much a fundraising event as anything. I'm guessing there are many alumni that don't mind paying what seems to be a higher price to have a social gathering with fellow Falcons (especially at an opposing stadium) and not have to hassle with tailgating supplies, setup and tear down. It's obviously working for BGSU, or they would have lowered prices or stopped hosting alumni tailgates.

I will be there. I'll try and park by the tailgate and meet up, as I've never met many of you. Looking forward to a BiG MAC Opening win on Saturday, and maybe a Big Mac as well.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Just thought I would mention that the lot on Secor is now home to a barnes and noble and some other retail. Don't know how that will effect parking

It will affect it some but its still the best option for visitors I think. No long, winding drives through campus or shuttle buses from the east side lots. If you get there early you should be fine.

Freak, tell the boy to run faster so you can get there earlier!

I will not be able to be there as I am in a fellow-Falcon alum's wedding that day. Talk about poor planning...his wife to be is a Bobcat. I blame her! Maybe I'll sneak out of the reception. I'm not the best man so I don't really have to stick around I guess?
