A clean up job...
As if falling to the hated scuds wasn't bad enough Saturday, Friday night we had an upstairs toilet overflow while everyone was sleeping. Oh what fun! We figured water had to be flowing for a good 3 hours til we discovered it. Service Pro was here today to start the clean up and disinfecting. We have numerous fans and dehumidifiers all over the place and half our ceiling is missing...our carpet has also been removed. Sheese. But Mrs. Freak, in her infinite wisdom, mentioned how some people in Louisiana have lost their entire homes to flooding. Damn smart woman, she is...it could always be worse. At least our homeowners insurance is picking up just about everything. Amazingly, the water stopped at the bottom of the steps leading to the hallowed Falcon Nest and went no further. Yes, the Falcon Power is strong despite any setbacks.

When I was a kid (a VERRRY long time ago), we were on vacation when the small pipe that pushes water into the toilet broke...our neighbor heard water while she was weeding her flower bed, looked up and saw water coming out of our bathroom WINDOW.... when we arrived home, the water had been turned off, but our bathtub was about 4ft into our kitchen (directly below the bathroom)....
Other than fire, water can do more damage than virtually anything. Hope the Green place dries up soon!
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

Sorry to hear it, Freak. I hate water problems- our house was built in 78 and has had so many bad plumbers over the last 134 years its amazing. We found pipes in the crawl joined with nothing but plumber's putty- and they had never leaked in ten years we had the house. Upstairs flooded ever five years or so until we tore out the whole bath hookup. Hate water in the house.

Yeah, water damage is the worst, IMO. But we'll get everything back to normal soon.
