High School Football already?

Post by 1987alum »

I can't believe I'm typing this, but Noah has his first high school football game tomorrow afternoon, albeit a freshmen game.

Talk about time flying, it seems like only yesterday he was lacing up for his first flag football practice.

He missed 3 of the first 5 practices, but worked his way back into the starting lineup. He'll be playing weakside guard on the O-line, backing up the interior linemen on D.

He's pretty happy - while he prefers defense, he was worried that he'd be too small to play line, so earning a starting spot with the hogmollies was something to be proud of.

Looking forward to an afternoon of pancakes tomorrow!

GO FALCONS!

Also hard to believe it's been more than 2 years since my coaching career ended!

Karl,
Why in the world is Philly football (even frosh) starting this late? I'd have to guess that Ohio's season, even for 9th gr., is half over... (I know that HS varsity and JV certainly are thru with FIVE games already).

Denny: Honestly, I have no idea. We're playing our second game in October.
