Schilz is a junior. Three year starter. In Bowling Green. Why does he still have problem playing with wind?
Late in the half Anthon Saumel was 6 rushes, 47 yards. So ... why the crap are we passing all the time?
Defense has been playing very inspired. With the exception of a tired lull in the second quarter, they have played well. They will need more time resting, though, so the offense HAS TO SCORE AND KEEP ON THE FIELD!!
The offensive playcalling is boggling me. Why pass so often when the QB is struggling, the receivers have been streaky, and we have an all MAC tailback? Why? I know Samuel is more effective because defenses fear the pass, but he's our best playmaker and he has I think 9 carries in the first half. Bogggling.
If Schilz continues playing with problems with this wind, it might be Johnson time.
What's with all the penalties? Every time Schilz rolls out, the O line makes a mistake and holds. Either that's gotta get fixed or Schilz has to get rid of it faster. O has yet to hold on a running play.

Frustrating. However ... we are only down by 10 points. If .. if the offense gets moving, we should be fine because the defense, if they weren't so exhausted at points, might be pitching their own shutout right now.
Excuses. Schilz has happy feet and throws off his back foot. He's been horribly inaccurate all game. The kid just isn't any good, he has a decent arm but is wildly inconsistent and makes poor decisions.

Va Tech has given up 48 points and counting today. BG has THE worst offense in college football. Fewest points Idaho has given up vs a FBS team? 21 vs BGSU. Fewest points Toledo has given up this year? 15, vs..... BOWLING GREEN!

The proof is in the pudding, something needs changed.

That ship has sailed, sadly. The program needs a new direction and a new philosophy.

The play calling is the biggest problem IMO. Better balance. They will call several consecutive pass plays, the consecutive run plays, then more straight pass plays. Balance needed.

Samuel is the best running back I have seen at BG.

So we've switched to the spread option with a QB who can't run. Interesting strategy.
