Avoiding the "Temple Trap" game at UMass
Avoiding the "Temple Trap" game at UMass
First off, great win over Miami. It was a long overdue win at home over them and makes for a three-game winning streak, puts us over .500 for the first time this season and we seem to finally be hitting our stride. That said, looking ahead to next week, we have a winless UMass team waiting for us on the road that will have had two weeks to prepare for us (they are coming off a bye). Now I know what happened several years ago has no link to this year's team, but I would be lying if the Temple game from 2006 didn't come instantly to mind with the scenario we have right now facing another winless team who also happens to play its home games in an NFL stadium in from of us. In that similar scenario in 2006, were 4-4 facing a winless Temple team that we had destroyed 70-7 the previous season, and we went out and lost 28-14 to give Temple its only win of the year. UMass nearly beat Ohio in its last home game (lost by 3). Let's NOT become "That Team" again this year! Stay focussed and take care of business. GO BG!!!

Ex-Falcon Kellen Pagel is on the Minutemen's roster. Be curious to see if he plays at all. I don't think we have to worry about a trap game...the team knows what's at stake from here on out.

I thought I read somewhere earlier in the season he is finished playing for his career, something with concussions if I recall.jpfalcon09 wrote:Ex-Falcon Kellen Pagel is on the Minutemen's roster.
